My first cowl!

Honestly, this is the first cowl I've ever knitted! There are so many beautiful cowls on Ravelry - I guess I've been thinking there are too many nice ones already.... Still I decided to make my own version - a cowl that is both feminine, soft, warm and a bit Scandinavian with its stranded colorwork. I was lucky to convince one of my daughters friends to model for the pic's - to add another Scandinavian touch! With her blue eyes and beautiful blonde hair she was just perfect!

After quit a few projects in neutral shades I feel like working in brighter colors!

Christmas is approching - and I've finally started the RED CHRISTMAS-DRESS!

Hello everyone! I'm Anne, a Norwegian "girl" by birth and heart, living in Sweden since ages ago. I'm a romantic and naive person that could easily live in a forest knitting all day from morning to evening. Life's got a hold on me though, I work part-time, live in a suburban area, and need to do lots of boring stuff apart from knitting. Life has changed a bit for me recently as I used to live in a beautiful, old house in the tiniest village in the countryside, and now find myself surrounded by lots of people everywhere I go. I miss my countryside-life; but there are advantages by living in a modern house - I do not have to spend much time on household or gardening - and that gives me the possibilities of knitting more - and even the time needed to write down my patterns. I have knitted since childhood, immensly inspired by my 2 grandmothers; one that stood for her fantastic skill in all handicrafts, the other stood for quality and taste. My mother was about the most creative person I have ever known - she worked in all fields of handicraft except for pottery. I love color, fashion, design, knitting.
